American Petition Consultants
American Petition Consultants was a company that offered signature gathering services to ballot initiative and recall campaigns.[1]
In 1992, American Petition Consultants was offered $400,000 to turn down work on California Proposition 174 concerning private school vouchers, which appeared on the 1993 ballot and was defeated.[2] In 1995, American Petition Consultants was hired to collect signatures for a recall campaign that led to California State Assembly member Doris Allen (R) from office.[3]
