I'm Amie Carter, and I've lived in the Burton region for more than 15 years. Growing up, I was "that girl," the one who was constantly concerned about society and how to solve existing problems. Years later, nothing has changed. Because of my fortitude and desire to reform our government for the betterment of Michigan's families and communities, I made the decision to run for office
I have a strong desire to uphold people's freedoms and rights. I think that schools need to teach mental health as a standard class. Although I support the right to bear guns, I think red flag regulations and more stringent background checks are required. I strongly believe in the utilization of renewable energy and believe that we should utilize more of it. When it comes down to it, I am on the side of the people.
