Amos Amerson
Amos Amerson is a former Republican member of the Georgia House of Representatives, representing District 9 from 2001 to 2013. He served on the Dahlongea City Council from 1999 to 2000 and was chair of the Parkway Zoning Appeals Board from 1984 to 1998.
Biography
Amerson's professional experience includes working as an associate professor at North Georgia College and State University from 1982 to 1998 and GS-13 and lieutenant/analysis in the United States Department of Energy. He served as a lieutenant colonel in the United States Army in Vietnam.
He is a member of the Rotary Club, American Association of Retired Persons, Board of Lumpkin County Literacy Coalition, National Rifle Association, and Veterans of Foreign Wars.[1]

In 2008, Amerson was re-elected to the Georgia House of Representatives District 9. Amerson (R) ran unopposed and finished with 23,803 votes.[3] Amerson raised $108,247 for his campaign fund.[4]
