Amy Armstrong Reedy was a criminal court judge for the Tenth District Criminal Court in Tennessee. The court presides over Bradley, McMinn, Monroe, and Polk counties. She was elected to the court on August 3, 2006.[1][2] Reedy was defeated in her bid for re-election on August 7, 2014, and she left the bench at the end of her term in 2014.[3][4]

Primary: She ran unopposed in the Democratic primary on May 6, 2014.
General: She was defeated in the general election on August 7, 2014, after receiving 39.8 percent of the vote. She competed against Sandra Donaghy. [3][5][4]

Education

Reedy received her undergraduate degree from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville in 1986 and her J.D. degree from the Nashville School of Law in 1992.[1]

Career

Reedy began her career in 1993 as an assistant district attorney. She worked in that capacity until 2004, when she became an assistant public defender. She was then elected to the Tenth Judicial District Criminal Court in 2006.[1]
