Amy Piro Chambers was a judge on the New Jersey Superior Court, Appellate Division, Part G. She became an appellate judge on August 1, 2007.[1] She retired from the bench in August 2010.[2]

Education

Judge Chambers received a bachelor's degree from New York University and a J.D. degree from Fordham University School of Law.[3]

Career

Judge Chambers began her legal career as a law clerk for the Superior Court. In 1975, she joined the law firm Young, Rose and Millspaugh. She became assistant counsel to Governor Byrne in 1979 and assistant counsel to Governor Kean in 1982. Two years later, she was named deputy counsel to Governor Kean. She held this position until she joined the Superior Court. In 1985, she was also the acting commissioner of the Department of the Public Advocate. On May 2, 1986, she became a Superior Court judge.[3]
