Amy Corrigall Jones is a judge on the Summit County Court of Common Pleas General Division in Akron, Ohio. She was appointed by Governor John Kasich in January 2012 and elected to the court in November 2012 to a full six-year term, which expires on January 2, 2019.[1]

Education

Jones received her undergraduate degree from Kent State University and her J.D. from the University of Akron School of Law.[1]

Career

Before joining the court, Jones was a managing partner with Corrigall & Jones from 2006 to 2012.[1]

Elections

2012 election

Jones defeated John Fickles in her bid to retain her appointed seat on the Summit County Court of Common Pleas. She won 58.19 percent of the vote in the general election on November 6, 2012.[2][3][4]

2011 election

Jones ran for judge on the Akron Municipal Court in Summit County. She was defeated by Kathryn Michael in the general election on November 8, receiving only 43.24 percent of the vote.[5][6]
