Amy Grace Gierhart is the chief judge of the 54th Circuit Court in Michigan. In 2012, she was elected to a term expiring in 2019. She became chief judge in 2015.[1]

Education

Gierhart received her undergraduate degree from Alma College and her J.D. from the University of Kentucky.[2]

Career

Gierhart was admitted to the bar in 1994. From 1999 to 2012, owned a law practice.[2]

Gierhart advanced from the primary election, winning 49.41 percent of the vote. She defeated Robert A. Betts in the general election on November 6, winning 59.28 percent of the vote.[3][4][5]
