Amy Mead is a judge of the Alaska First District Superior Court. She assumed office on August 21, 2018.

She was appointed to the court on July 2, 2018 by former Governor Bill Walker to replace Louis J. Menendez.[1]
Biography
Education
Mead received her bachelor's degree in psychology from Boston University in 1989 and her J.D. from Tulane University Law School in 1996.[2]
Career
Mead began her legal career as a Law Clerk for Thomas M. Jahnke from 1996 to 1997. She then served as an Assistant District Attorney for the Alaska Department of Law, Criminal Division from 1997 to 1998. From 2000 to 2001, she served as Assistant Attorney General in the Alaska Department of Law, Civil Division, Human Services Section. With the exception of that one year, Mead also worked as a Senior Associate at Hoffman & Blasco LLC from 1998 to 2010. From 2010 to her appointment to the bench, Mead served as the Assistant Municipal Attorney then as Municipal Attorney for the City of Juneau.[3]
