Mercado (Democratic Party) won re-election for Orange County Property Appraiser in Florida outright in the general election on November 5, 2024, after the Democratic primary and general election were canceled.
Biography
Amy Mercado was born and raised in New York City. She graduated from the Academy of Mt. St. Ursula in New York and relocated to Florida with her family in 1995 and became an Orange County resident in 1996. In 2004, she graduated from American Intercontinental University with a bachelor's of business administration with a concentration in management. In 2017 she completed an executive M.B.A. from the Jack Welch Management Institute at Strayer University. She subsequently became involved with the National Mango Board in Florida and became the board’s director of operations.[1]
