Amy Oliver is a judge of the Utah Court of Appeals. She assumed office on February 17, 2023. Her current term ends on January 3, 2027.
Oliver was a judge in the Utah Third Judicial District. She appointed to the court on June 8, 2021 by Gov. Spencer Cox (R) to replace Royal I. Hansen.[1]
Biography
Oliver received her bachelor's degree from the University of Utah and her J.D. from Harvard Law School. She has worked as a litigation associate at both Perkins Coie Brown & Bain and Latham & Watkins. She has also served as a senior trial counsel at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission's division of enforcement and as a special assistant U.S. attorney in the criminal division and an assistant U.S. attorney in the civil division of the United States Attorney’s Office. Directly prior to her appointment, Oliver had been serving as assistant director for the Salt Lake Regional Office of U.S Securities and Exchange Commission.[1]
