Amy Shuler Goodwin (Democratic Party) is the Mayor of Charleston in West Virginia. She assumed office on January 7, 2019. Her current term ends on January 4, 2027.

Biography
Goodwin received a degree in journalism from West Virginia University in 1994. She worked as a spokesperson for the office of Gov. Bob Wise (D) from 2001 to 2004. During the 2004 presidential elections, Goodwin worked as West Virginia communications director for former Massachusetts Sen. John Kerry (D). From 2004 to 2012, Goodwin worked as CEO of the Goodwin Group, LLC, a public relations firm she founded in 2004. Goodwin became communications director for Gov. Earl Ray Tomblin (D) in 2012. She worked in that capacity until 2014, when Tomblin appointed her as Deputy Secretary of Commerce and Commissioner of Tourism.[1][2][3][4][5][6]
