Ancel Smith
Ancel Smith (Democratic Party) ran for election to the Kentucky House of Representatives to represent District 92. He lost in the general election on November 3, 2020.
Smith previously served as a Democratic member of the Kentucky House of Representatives. He represented the 92nd District from 2003 to 2011.
Biography
Smith's professional experience includes working as a contractor with Smith Trucking & Excavation. He also previously worked in construction from 1985 to 2000, was a trucker from 1971 to 1983, and served in the United States Army from 1966 to 1968.
Smith has served as a member of Kentucky Colonels, and the Knott County Jaycees.[1]

In the May 18th primary election, Smith was defeated by Democratic primary opponent John Short by a margin of 6,474 to 5,896.[2]
2008
On November 4, 2008, Smith was re-elected to the 92nd District Seat in the Kentucky House of Representatives with no opposition.[3] He raised $28,264 for his campaign.[4]
