As a fifth-generation Washingtonian and third-generation resident of the 19th Legislative

District, I have a deep-rooted local knowledge and a commitment to our rural communities. Living in Seaview with my 13-year-old son, I understand firsthand the challenges and opportunities facing our rural communities. My upbringing in a commercial fishing family, with strong ties to oystering and timber, shaped my perspective. I was the first in my family to attend Washington State University, where I was a college athlete in crew, and have since built a diverse career as a small business owner and entrepreneur. I have a proven track record in statewide industry leadership roles, and have successfully represented small businesses, communities, municipalities, and tribes, delivering solutions, resources, and job creation. I am dedicated to strong and resilient rural economies, improving education and healthcare, protecting our natural resource industries, ensuring access to affordable housing, and improving infrastructure. I also strongly advocate for fundamental rights such as access to reproductive healthcare, including abortion and IVF, and support responsible gun ownership.

I am committed to being an effective voice in Olympia for the people of the 19th Legislative District. My approach centers on hard work, honor, and inclusivity, ensuring that every resident is heard and represented. As state senator, I will be in the room and at the table, working to get

results for our community
  • Everyone in the 19th LD deserves better: better representation and better results.
  • Infrastructure, Education, Healthcare and Housing are priority focus areas.
  • I'm qualified, experienced, hard-working, honest, and I have a proven track-record of getting things done. It would be an honor to continue serving my communities in Olympia.
I'm passionate about advocating for rural communities. Good policy is rarely "one size fits all". I will be a voice in Olympia and participating in the legislative process to ensure that the needs and perspectives from our communities and industries are respectfully shared and work with legislators on both sides of the aisle to get better results for the 19th LD.
I'm hard-working, pragmatic, and steadfast. I will always continue learning and listening and do what it takes to keep moving in the right direction for better results and positive change.
I'd like to reverse the trend of dwindling resources and funding for our district that we have been experiencing in the past four years. And, I'd like to help re-establish a good reputation for our district and legislative team; within the district, in Olympia, statewide and globally.
Aside from working as a deck hand commercial fishing, and on hay crews with local farmers, working at Jessie's Ilwaco Fish Co. was one of my first jobs working summers in high school in college.
