I am a near-30 year resident of St. Lucie County who has dedicated my professional and volunteer life to the betterment of my fellow residents. I have been married to my husband for 20 years and we have two amazing teenage daughters. I have worked in the foster care system for almost 20 years and have served as president of the Junior League of Martin County, the PTO of Village Green Elementary School, and the League of Women Voters of St. Lucie County. I am dedicated to the prosperity of all the residents of this county and state and to maintaining their civil liberties.

I believe that the future success of our state is dependent upon the success of our young people. A comprehensive and accurate education system that promotes curiosity, innovation, and critical thinking is vital to Florida's competitiveness in emerging industries. Our best and brightest having been leaving our state because of a lack of opportunity to do important and forward-thinking work and that must change immediately. Recent laws have created more financial difficulties for working families in the form of unaffordable property insurance and housing. There is a way to fix these problems. Our elected officials simply have to have the will to do so.

Florida was once a place to live freely the very best days of our lives; be those the first days or the last. We must return to the days when the state did not target and vilify our fellow Floridians. We must stop going backward; the future is forward.
  • A Florida For All The sole responsibility of government is to protect the people and uphold their civil rights. This state legislature has failed to do either of those things and has actively worked in opposition to civil liberties. All Floridians have the right to live their lives in any manner they choose fit, if it poses no danger to another person. The state has no role in our self-determination and certainly should not pass laws to restrict or suppress our rights. Nor should those laws endanger the safety of any citizens by targeting them and labeling them as threats. Florida is less free for many of its residents today than it was just 3 years ago. We are going backward and that must stop.
  • The Future is Forward Recent laws restricting and suppressing rights to reproductive care and the ballot box are simply reversing the clock to a time we left behind decades ago. Laws that allow books to bans with simplicity, restrictions of accurate history, and the elimination of representation in our colleges, universities, schools, and businesses do not allow for our state to stay competitive with the rest of the world. We are not moving in the direction necessary to ensure our continued success and prosperity. We are moving backward and the everyone else is moving forward. We will get left behind if our future is not also moving forward.
  • The success of the young and the old are inextricably linked. Retirees are moving to Florida in large numbers, which has been beneficial to those that already own homes here. It has had the reverse effect for those looking to buy their first home. Our economy is not conducive to attracting young, highly educated individuals to our area. As a result, our workforce is leaving. If we do not make Florida a place that is attractive to young professionals, we will soon reach a point that is devastating to everyone. Our young people are very concerned about climate change and the ablity to live in a state so susceptible to impacts of it. We must acknowledge this threat and work to mitigate its impact and welcome companies in green industries.

Intelligence, compassion, knowledge of the ideals of our political system, integrity, innovation, and the ability and willingness to collaborate
To protect the people from threats that are bigger than personal ability to protect themselves. To uphold and.respect the state and US Constitution. To work on behalf of the people they serve by advocating for the things they want.
I worked in a fast food chicken resturant to earn enough money to buy my first car. I can make a mean chicken sandwich from a fried chicken breast.

Cooperative, but respecting the checks and balances established in pur Constitution. Neither branch should have more power than the other but should work in concert with one another to do the best work possible for the people who elected them.
Climate change, if left out of consideration as it is now, will irreparably alter our state. It is only through science, innovation and an honest desire to maintain our way of life that we will successful navigate the changes that are now inevitable.
Yes. It doesn't have to be extensive or direct involvement but those who have no experience are very susceptible to corruption, as we are seeing in our current state legislature.
Absolutely. Collaboration is most effective when all parties understand the needs and perspectives of the other parties. Truly understanding other people comes from real relationships.
Abraham Lincoln. My hometown is Springfield, IL. We are all raised in the shadow of his memory. It is unavoidable to learn of his pragmatism and genuine desire to understand and represent all people.
Servants of the people should be absolutely transparent in their political and financial activities. Trust in elected officials can only be regained through honesty and integrity and that can only be achieved through transparency.
