Education
Hertzfeld received her B.A. in economics and sociology, summa cum laude, from Bowling Green State University, and her J.D. from Harvard Law School.[3]
Professional career
At the time of her nomination, Hertzfeld was a senior assistant U.S. attorney in the United States Attorney’s Office in the District of Columbia. She also worked as senior litigation counsel. She worked in private practice for six years.[3]
