Andrea K. McCord is a federal bankruptcy judge on the United States bankruptcy court, Southern District of Indiana. She joined the court on May 20, 2019.[1]

McKord was a judge for the Lawrence County Circuit Court in Indiana from 2007 to 2019. She was appointed in 2007 by Governor Mitch Daniels and elected to a full term in 2008.[2][3]

McCord ran for re-election to the Lawrence County Circuit Court. She was unopposed in the general election on November 4, 2014. She was also unopposed in the Republican primary on May 6, 2014.[4] [5]

McCord successfully ran unopposed for election to the court in 2008.[3]

Education

McCord received her undergraduate degree from Franklin College of Indiana. She earned her J.D. from Indiana University's McKinney School of Law in Indianapolis.[6]

Career

Prior to being appointed to the Lawrence County Circuit Court, McCord served as the Lawrence County juvenile court referee. She also served as judge pro tem for Richard D. McIntyre while he was away on active duty for the Indiana National Guard.[2] She was admitted to the bar in 1990.[6]
