Andrea M. Buford
Andrea M. Buford (Democratic Party) is a judge of the Cook County Circuit Court in Illinois. She assumed office on May 17, 2013. Her current term ends on December 7, 2026.
Buford ran for re-election for judge of the Cook County Circuit Court in Illinois. She won in the retention election on November 3, 2020.
Buford was first appointed to the Cook County Circuit Court by the Illinois Supreme Court to fill a vacancy created by the retirement of Pamela Hill-Veal.
Education
Buford earned her J.D. from IIT-Chicago Kent College of Law in 1986.[1]
Career
Buford has worked as a member of Buford Law Office LLC since 2001. Before that, she was a partner at law firm Buford, Peters, Ware & Zanzitis and also worked as a partner at Jones, Ware & Grenard. She has represented Fortune 500 companies, insurance companies and municipalities in tort, commercial and employment law litigation.[1]
