I was born in Mountain Home, raised on a farm in Grand View. I learned to appreciate our farming roots, and love the land.

I was brought up talking with my parents and grandparents about the Constitution. From an early age I grew to love the founding of America, and all of our freedoms. We were also encouraged to help out in the community and serve those around us.

This background helped me to want to serve the community I live in. I worked as a Volunteer EMT in Grand View for many years. I volunteer at our local church teaching and mentoring children. I currently serve as the State Youth Committee person for Owyhee County. Previously, I served on the Resolution Committee at the Idaho State Republican Convention.

I also have a deep appreciation for the Military and the sacrifice they make. My Husband, Mark, joined the Army after 9/11, and deployed overseas to Ramadi Iraq during the surge. He was a medic for the 321st Engineer Battalion. His company did route clearance, and he saw firsthand the ultimate sacrifice some make for this great country. Mark currently serves as a Sergeant in the Army Reserves in Boise.

I have a strong belief in the sanctity of life having raised 5 children. I will work to protect life at all stages.
I also started several businesses which my husband and I currently run in the Grand View area. This has given me an inside view of the struggles many of us face to grow and prosper as small business owners. My experience as a business owner will help me as I work to keep regulatory burdens down.

As a mother, I also know that education will be a factor in the success of all our children. I feel that the goals set aren't working, and that more local control of education would make a measurable difference in the lives of our children. The more local and focused we can be the better.

With all the attacks coming against the 2nd Amendment at a National level, know that I will stand up against any attempt to restrict our 2nd Amendment rights. I am a strong supporter in the individual right to gun ownership. All citizens have a right to protect and defend themselves, both in their homes and in public. The 2nd Amendment is the safeguard of all of our other freedoms. It is not up to the government to limit and put restrictions on those rights, but sadly our gun rights have been slowly chipped away over time. I will fight to protect and expand this essential right.

I support the founder's vision for the Government. Government's role is to protect the God-given freedoms of its citizens, not to control every aspect of their lives. We need to return to a limited government that spends less and only does those things directly supported by our Constitution.
Weeding Sugar beets on the farm with my parents and grandparents. It was hard, but it helped me appreciate the value of hard work needed to make things grow.
