Andrea Miles Simonton was a federal magistrate judge for the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida. She was appointed to this position on April 1, 1999, and retired on January 4, 2019.[1][2]

Biography and education

Andrea Simonton was born in 1953 in Coral Gables, Florida. She received her Bachelor of Social Work from Florida International University in 1973 and her J.D. degree from the Miami School of Law in 1978.[3]

Career

Prior to her judicial appointment, Ms. Simonton was an Assistant U.S. Attorney in the Southern District of Florida Office.[3]
