Andres Cano is a member of the Pima County Board of Supervisors in Arizona, representing District 5. He assumed office in 2025. His current term ends in 2029.

Cano (Democratic Party) ran for re-election to the Arizona House of Representatives to represent District 20. He won in the general election on November 8, 2022.

Cano served as representative for Arizona House of Representatives District 3 from January 14, 2019 to January 9, 2023.

Cano served as state House minority leader from January 9, 2023 to June 9, 2023.[1]

Cano resigned from the Arizona House of Representatives in July 2023 to pursue a master's degree.[2]

Biography

Andres Cano was born in Tucson, Arizona. Cano graduated from City High School in Tucson in 2009. He earned a B.A. in broadcast journalism from Arizona State University in 2014. His career experience includes working as a political aide and community liaison from Pima County Supervisor Richard Elias and as a director for the LGBTQ+ Alliance Fund. Cano served as a board member of Planned Parenthood Arizona, with the City Center for Collaborative Learning, and with Literacy Connects.[3][4]
