Who are you? Tell us about yourself.

Andrew Badger is a 5th generation Utahn. He is a graduate of Timpview High School. He later obtained his Bachelor's Degree from Harvard College in Government and Middle Eastern Studies, and Master's Degree from the University of Oxford in Diplomacy. Andrew served with the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) and deployed to Afghanistan in 2014 to support military intelligence requirements. He was the winner of the 2022 Utah state GOP nominating convention.

Please list below 3 key messages of your campaign. What are the main points you want voters to remember about your goals for your time in office?

• We must protect individual liberty and rights.
• It is essential that we return government to its proper size and role.
• Parents should be important stakeholders in education.

What areas of public policy are you personally passionate about?

I believe that it's critical we ensure there is accountability for the disastrous withdrawal from Afghanistan in 2021 and that American policy makers learn the lessons from that intervention.

Who are you? Tell us about yourself.

Andrew Badger is running for Utah's 1st Congressional District (Ogden, Logan, Box Elder). Andrew is a 5th generation Utahn and attended public school here K-12. He later obtained his B.A. in Government from Harvard College and Master's Degree in Diplomacy from the University of Oxford. Andrew served as a U.S. intelligence officer for 6 years. Andrew is proud to be endorsed by the Utah Republican Veterans' Caucus and David Shedd, the former acting director of the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA).

Please list below 3 key messages of your campaign. What are the main points you want voters to remember about your goals for your time in office?

• Defend medical freedom for all, including our service members and healthcare workers
• Protect parental rights in education, and ensure parents (not the government) is responsible for the education of their children
• Restore confidence in our elections

What areas of public policy are you personally passionate about?

I believe it's time for a new generation of conservative leaders to fight back against a corrupt & unaccountable ruling class Establishment and return power back to everyday Americans. Simply put, it's time to put America First.

What is "America First"?

America First is a recognition that our government exists to serve the interests of its own citizens. It's a belief that the highest responsibility of our representatives we elect to office is to fight to protect our rights as enshrined in the U.S. Constitution.

It's a recognition that we must stop just playing defense and instead go on the offense in driving legislative outcomes on our terms – not just consistently reacting to the narratives framed by the Left.

It's a recognition that in order to preserve our God-given freedoms it's imperative we dismantle the Administrative State – from the DHS to the Department of Education. We must hold corrupt bureaucrats like Anthony Fauci accountable.

It's a recognition that our government must be more responsive & accountable to the people. This requires that our representatives listen to the issues that everyday Americans believe are important (e.g., election integrity) and act boldly to fight for them without fear of being “canceled”.

It's a recognition that conservatives must be willing to fight to preserve our culture and way of life. Most importantly, we must be willing to defend America’s history & culture in our classrooms.
