Collapse all
|- Fund our schools. Feed the children. Pay the teachers.
- Empower our workers. Support our labor unions. Raise wages. Provide mandatory paid vacation and paternity leave.
- Give control of utilities to tax payers. Let the people of Louisiana decide the prices they pay for internet, electricity, etc. Cut out the greedy middlemen.
Labor rights in Louisiana are in a catastrophic state. Employees have close to zero protections. The minimum wage is a measly $7.25 and hour. We have no mandatory paid vacation or paternity leave. Unions have had one hand tied behind their backs because of Louisiana’s terrible “right to work” law. We must repeal this horrible legislation, and support our workers’ rights to collectively bargain for better wages and benefits. Louisiana is built by workers, not shareholders. It’s time labor gets its fair cut of the profits.
