Andrew Boron is a former Illinois Director of Insurance. He served in this position from 2012 until January 2015.[1][2]

Biography

Boron served as vice president and counsel for ACE Group. In this role he served as primary liaison to the departments of insurance in nine states. From 2009 to 2010, he served as deputy chief of staff at the Illinois Toll Highway Authority. Boron also worked for CNA Financial from 2003 to 2008.[3]

Boron was appointed as Illinois Director of Insurance on January 27, 2012, by Governor Pat Quinn (D).[1] He left office in January 2015 after newly-elected Governor Bruce Rauner (R) assumed office.[2]
