I am a science educator with Fort Worth ISD and Tarrant County College, where my classroom overlooks the confluence of the Clear Fork and West Fork of the Trinity River in downtown Fort Worth. Since 2017, I have partnered with the Tarrant Regional Water District (TRWD) to support outreach and educational initiatives, including water quality testing and biodiversity surveys. This collaboration allows me to bring students to the river multiple times each semester, where they engage in hands-on learning experiences such as fishing, field data collection, and environmental monitoring.
  • I have partnered with the Tarrant Regional Water District since 2017 and have seen firsthand the dedication and expertise of its staff. I’m running to support and strengthen the important initiatives already underway, ensuring that TRWD continues to lead in water management, conservation, and community engagement.
  • Conservation education is one of the most effective strategies we have to reduce water waste and ensure long-term water capacity for our region’s continued growth. As an educator who has partnered with TRWD for years, I understand both the importance of this initiative and how to strengthen it. I’m committed to supporting and expanding TRWD’s conservation education efforts so more people understand how everyday choices impact our shared water future.
  • I have built strong, long-standing relationships with key agencies involved in water conservation and management across North Texas. I hold Scientific Research Permits from Texas Parks and Wildlife and regularly collaborate with their Inland Fisheries Division to teach fisheries science to my students. I also partner with the Trinity River Authority, having mentored several of their environmental scientists and co-led educational events on the river. These partnerships—along with my ongoing collaboration with TRWD—give me the ability to effectively communicate and coordinate with multiple government entities to support TRWD's initiatives.
I am passionate about public policy that supports and protects the Trinity River Watershed. This clean and vital river system serves over 2.5 million people, and I hope to help preserve its quality and sustainability by serving on the TRWD Board.
Help provide reliable water supply, effective flood protection, environmental stewardship, and recreational opportunities for the 2.5 million that depend on TRWD.
A healthy, resilient watershed—clean, well-managed, and prepared to withstand the inevitable droughts and floods that North Texas will continue to face.
I believe it is very important and I encourage voters to look through the campaign finance reports posted on the TRWD website.
