Andrew Bruck
Andrew Bruck (Democratic Party) was the acting attorney general of New Jersey. Bruck assumed office on July 19, 2021. Bruck left office on February 14, 2022.
Gov. Phil Murphy (D) appointed Bruck acting attorney general on June 30, 2021, to replace Gurbir Grewal (D), who resigned on July 16, 2021, to become director of enforcement of the Securities and Exchange Commission, effective July 26 of that year.[1][2] Bruck assumed office on July 19, 2021.[3]
Biography
Bruck earned a law degree from Stanford Law School in 2008.[4]
Prior to his appointment, Bruck served as the first assistant attorney general (2020-2021) and the executive assistant attorney general (2018-2020) for the New Jersey Attorney General's Office. He also worked at the United States Attorney's Office (2017-2018), the Office of the Deputy Attorney General, U.S. Department of Justice (2015 -2017), the United States Attorney's Office (2012-2015), Davis Polk & Wardwell LLP (2009-2012), and the New Jersey Courts (2008-2009).[4]
