I am a District 10 native, born and raised in Harper Woods, and a small business owner providing web development and 3D printing services. I have a working-class background, having previously worked as a landscaping foreman in Grosse Pointe Woods. I am an active community leader, currently serving on the Harper Woods Library Board. My political experience includes serving as Co-Chair and Web Steward of the Michigan Green Party, and I am now running as a Democrat to bring project management and strategic planning skills to Lansing.
  • Engaging the Community: Voter apathy has reached an all-time high. It's up to the people in charge to find solutions that bring the community back into government. By hosting regular welcoming gatherings with food and activities, we can bond, debate ideas, and engage in collective action. We are of the people, by the people, for the people.
  • Empowering the Community: Voters have less impact on politics now than ever before. Their voices have become isolated from the levers of power. It should be the other way around, the power should only exist if it has the approval of the people. I will fight to equip neighborhoods and local workers with the tools and authority to make decisions that impact their daily lives.
  • Accountability: Asking "who's holding them accountable?" is the best starting question. Modern CEOs are accountable to shareholders, not the workers or consumers. Modern politicians are accountable to lobbyists and/or party politics, not their communities. I believe in the "radical" idea that elected officials must be completely transparent and accountable to their constituents. I will champion legislation for recallable delegates so voters can easily remove politicians that abandon their platform or violate the public trust.
I am deeply passionate about electoral and legislative reform. I support Multi-Member Districts (MMD) and Proportional Representation. I strongly oppose "winner take all" systems. I support policies that give power to the people to share their ideas and preferences. I also support suburban revitalization through updating our infrastructure, public transportation, and zoning to ensure maximum quality of life for the residents.
