Noteworthy events
On October 31, 2024, Do pleaded guilty to one charge of conspiracy to commit bribery concerning programs receiving federal funds.[1] Do diverted millions of federal Covid-19 relief funding to a nonprofit ran by his daughter, who then used the funds to purchase real estate. Do also used the funds to pay out bribes and make personal payments to co-conspirators. [2] Do resigned from the Orange County Board of Supervisors in October 2024.[3]
