I am a career appellate attorney with the qualifications and experience needed to be a productive and proficient Texas appellate justice.
  • I am highly qualified for this appellate seat because I have been an appellate attorney for almost seventeen years, have been Board Certified in Civil Appellate Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization for over one decade, and have over five years of experience working as an attorney on the Houston Courts of Appeals.
  • I’m a textualist and believe an appellate judge’s role is to interpret the law as written, to be neutral and give no favoritism to any party, and to avoid legislating from the bench.
  • In my private-practice role as an appellate specialist, I have worked on a wide array of appeals and mandamus proceedings before the Texas Courts of Appeals. I will utilize as an appellate justice the legal researching, writing, brainstorming, and problem-solving I have successfully developed for ten years in private practice.
I believe an appellate justice must remain neutral, apply the law as written, and work efficiently and diligently.
If elected, I want my legacy to be he was a hardworking justice who strived to achieve the proper legal result.
Yes. Having previously spent over five years as an attorney working for the Houston Courts of Appeals, I am uniquely qualified, having drafted dozens of proposed opinions for civil and criminal appeals.
