Andy McAdoo is a lifelong resident of upstate New York and grew up on a dairy farm in a family of eight. He launched his career in telecommunications as a member of the IBEW - a career that spans nearly 42 years. His career focused on the development of telecommunications across the country, with the idea that the more connected a community, the better the opportunities those communities can have. Andy launched his own telecommunications company, Broadband Solutions, LLC in 2021. Broadband Solutions focuses on delivering universal service to individuals, municipalities, and other organizations across the country. He has worked extensively with the NYS Public Service Commission and the New York State Telecommunications Association, where he served on the government relations committee.
  • Protect the full range of women's reproductive healthcare
  • Protect our children through common sense gun regulations, making big tech more responsible and creating safer schools
  • Fortify our mental health system to better address the stresses we all are feeling from the challenges we've faced over the last few years
Andy wants to create a truly equitable telecommunications network where broadband is accessible and affordable throughout New York and consumers have options other than a monopoly provider. Active on the NYS Telecom Association Board Government Affairs Committee for eight years and as the general manager of a regulated phone company, Andy understands the regulatory and legislative landscape. He will fight to keep large telecom companies from abusing the system and misleading consumers.
