My father and father-in-law because they took very different paths in life, but both exemplified integrity, sacrifice, ingenuity and endurance in their professions and family life. I have learned from both of them and strive to follow their examples.

The Mayor is responsible for running effective meetings, supporting staff to implement the vision of the townspeople through council, and listening to all citizens' viewpoints.
After 8 years on Council, I already have a reputation of a no-nonsense approach to governing, so my legacy will continue to be built on this desire to get real work done and make a positive and lasting impact on the town.
My very first job was delivering newspapers in the 7th grade; my first career job was as a manager at Roses Department Stores for 4 years.
Of Human Bondage by W. Somerset Maugham; this was the first novel I read as a young adult and it left a lasting impression.
A Mayor should lead by example, set the tone, and represent the town professionally.
Balancing the budget, focusing on controlled growth of the town, and supporting the town departments. The Mayor needs to be able to run an effective meeting and listen to the council, town employees and citizens alike.
A true partnership with the understanding that the town exists at the will of the state.
Minimal interaction with limited federal rules placed upon local governments.
Complete transparency is a must. Voters have a duty to keep the government accountable.
