Andrew P. Bivona was a judge of the New York Supreme Court 9th Judicial District. He assumed office in 1999.

Bivona was reappointed in 2008 and 2010. He also served as a judge for the Orange County Family Court from 1989 to 2014.[1][2]

Education

Bivona received his undergraduate degree from Siena College in 1968 and his J.D. degree from Fordham University Law School in 1974.[1]

Career

Bivona, prior to becoming judge, worked as a sole practitioner, a lawyer with Neuman, Bivona & Dunn and a law secretary for Knopf & Tamsen. He was elected to the Newburgh City Court in 1984. In 1989, he joined the Orange County Family Court. He was appointed an Acting Supreme Court Justice in 1999.[1]
