Andrew J. Peck was a federal magistrate judge for the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York. He was first appointed to this position on February 27, 1995. He was the chief magistrate judge in 2004 and 2005.[1][2]

Education

Judge Peck received his B.A. degree from Cornell University in 1974 and his J.D. degree from Duke University School of Law in 1977.[1][3]

Professional career

Judge Peck began his career in 1977 as a law clerk to U.S. Appellate Judge Paul Roney of the Eleventh (then Fifth) Circuit. In 1978, he joined the law firm Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison, where he served as an associate and then counsel until his 1995 judicial appointment. His law practice focused on copyright and trademark litigation. He also teaches as an adjunct professor at Cardozo Law School.[1][3]

Peck joined the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York as a federal magistrate judge on February 27, 1995. He was reappointed in 2003 and 2011. Peck served as the chief magistrate judge in 2004 and 2005.[1][2]
