Andrew Phipps was a 2012 Republican candidate who sought election to the U.S. House to represent the 6th Congressional District of Indiana.
Biography
Phipps was born May 4, 1942 in Muncie, Indiana.[1]

Career
Phipps was a high school teacher from 1964 to 1997.[1]
Elections
2012
Phipps was running in the 2012 election for the U.S. House, representing Indiana's 6th District. Phipps sought the nomination on the Republican ticket.[2] Dan Bolling, Brad Bookout, Jim Crone, Lane Siekman, Barry Welsh, George Holland and Susan Hall Heitzman ran in the Democratic primary. Phipps faces Bill Frazier, Travis Hankins, John Hatter, Luke Messer, Don Bates, Jr., Joseph Van Wye, and Joe Sizemore in the Republican primary. Candidates wishing to run were required to file by the signature filing deadline of February 24, 2012. The primary elections took place on May 8, 2012.
While Phipps indicated a possible run in 2012, he failed to officially file.[3]
