Andrew Sidamon-Eristoff was the New Jersey Treasurer. Sidamon-Eristoff assumed office on February 22, 2010. Sidamon-Eristoff left office on July 6, 2015.
He was appointed in 2010 by Gov. Chris Christie.[1] Upon his resignation, he was succeeded by his longtime deputy, Robert Romano, who began serving as acting treasurer on July 6, 2015.[2]
Biography
Sidamon-Eristoff began his career as an associate with the firm of Webster & Sheffield in 1989. From 1991 to 1992, he served as legislative counsel to the New York State Senate. The following year he was elected to the New York City Council, serving three terms.
Prior to being named New Jersey Treasurer, Sidamon-Eristoff was serving as senior tax advisor for Chemonics International and was the owner of Sidamon-Eristoff Brothers LLC, and Tamada LLC.[3]

Political career
New Jersey Treasurer (2010-2015)
Sidamon-Eristoff served as New Jersey Treasurer from 2010 until stepping down on, effective July 6, 2015. During his tenure, he helped to craft Gov. Christie's tax reduction initiative and pension reform bills. Both of these policies have been criticized by New Jersey Democrats who opposed Christie's decision to reduce taxes and cut billions of dollars in pension payments in order to compensate for a budget shortfall. Upon his resignation, Sidamon-Eristoff defended the budgetary policies he helped Christie craft: "With the help of treasury's talented and dedicated staff, we have met major challenges successfully while recording important achievements for New Jersey's taxpayers."[4]

Sidamon-Eristoff served as Commissioner of the New York State Department of Taxation and Finance from September 2003 to November 2006.[1]
New York City Commissioner of Finance (1999-2002)
Sidamon-Eristoff was New York City Commissioner of finance from 1999 to 2002.[1]
New York City Council (1993-1999)
Sidamon-Eristoff served as a Republican member on the New York City Council, representing Manhattan from 1993 to 1999.[1]
