Andrew Slavitt
Andrew Slavitt was the acting administrator of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. He became the acting administrator in February 2015 after former administrator Marilyn Tavenner resigned.[1] Prior to becoming the acting director, Slavitt was CMS's principal deputy administrator.[2]

After graduating from the Wharton School and the College of Arts & Sciences at the University of Pennsylvania and Harvard Business School, Slavitt worked in a variety of positions at many private sector companies, including as Group Executive Vice President for Optum, CEO of OptumInsight, founder and CEO of HealthAllies, a strategy consultant with McKinsey & Company, and as an investment banker with Goldman Sachs.[2]
