I am a first generation Portuguese-American, born in Massachusetts, moving to Maryland in elementary school, and making my way to Franklin County to attend law school. While in Columbus, I met and married Columbus-native, Nathan. Together, we have two wonderful daughters.

Most of my adult life has been dedicated to public service. During my undergraduate years, I worked in campus resident life. Through law school, I was employed by the Columbus City Attorney’s Office. After law school, I began my career as an Assistant City Prosecutor striving to ensure justice and fairness, reviewing each case on its own merits to determine an appropriate resolution. I then moved to the litigation and labor and employment law sections on the civil side of the Columbus City Attorney’s Office. As a litigant, my experience spans both criminal and civil cases in the local and federal courts, where I have tried dozens of jury trials and argued numerous hearings.

In my free time, I am the Co-President of the Columbus Bar Association Alliance, a member of the Franklin County Democratic Lawyers Club, and volunteer for a variety of different organizations.

  • It is important to treat each individual that comes before a courtroom with dignity and respect.
  • As a litigant for more than 10 years in Franklin County, my experience spans both criminal and civil cases in the local and federal courts, where I have tried dozens of jury trials and argued numerous hearings.
  • Compassion is vital to my candidacy, I will be compassionate to all who come in front of me, considering everyone involved, and listening with an open and impartial mind.
I am passionate about treating each person that appears before the Court with dignity and respect, ensuring they have been heard. Additionally, I believe it is vital to maintain the Court’s docket, be available to have trials or hearings when the parties believe it is necessary and resolve motions in a timely manner.
