Andy Cleveland was a candidate for the Place 7 seat on the Abilene Board of Trustees in Texas. She lost election against incumbent Kelvin Kelley in the general election on May 10, 2014.

Cleveland worked as a teacher for 55 years including 51 years in district schools prior to her retirement in May 2011. She served as the president of Education Abilene and a board member for the Texas State Teachers Association. Cleveland was honored for her teaching career in a resolution by the Texas House of Representatives in 2011.[1]
