Campaign themes

2012

Pugno's campaign website listed the following issues:[2]

  • Jobs And The Economy
Excerpt: "Clearing the way for job creation is my top priority. As the owner of a small business law firm for many years, I know that incumbent politicians are killing jobs by over-spending, over-taxing and over-regulating."
  • Taxes
Excerpt: "We are not taxed too little. Politicians spend too much! In 2010 I signed the “no new taxes” pledge of Americans for Tax Reform — and I will keep that pledge."
  • Budget Priorities
Excerpt: "California spends over $100 Billion each year. That ought to be enough to provide quality education for our children, safe streets and decent roads. But the Legislature’s priorities are wrong because of failed leadership"
  • Traditional Marriage
Excerpt: "Children need and deserve both mothers and fathers, and I believe that honoring the traditional definition of marriage as only between a man and a woman is an important part of encouraging that ideal environment for children."
  • Second Amendment
Excerpt: "I fully support the right to keep and bear arms. As a shooter and outdoors-man, I recognize gun ownership as an important part of our heritage and as vital to our safety and freedom."
  • Life
Excerpt: "I am 100% pro-life."
