Andy Rose, candidate for Texas House District 33, is an Air Force veteran who comes from a family of veterans. He's spent 24 years living and volunteering in Farmersville, including for the Boy Scouts, Collin County 4-H Shooting Sports Club, Texas State Shooting Sports Committee, and the DFW Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence. He advocates for LGBTQ civil rights and fundraises for HIV research while running to raise money for cancer research. A passionate defender of public education, Andy and his wife, Dione, have three children who all attended Farmersville ISD. As his greatest desire is to serve others, just as he did as a living liver donor to a co-worker, Andy's decided that representing his community as state representative is his next duty and privilege. Andy is an avid runner and has completed many marathons and ultra-marathons, but he knows that this run, in this particular race, is the most significant of his life.
  • I will fight for equality and civil rights of all Texans, especially those that are traditionally marginalized.
  • Second, I fight to protect the environment and natural resources of Texas.
  • And third, I will fight to improve Texas Education.
