Who are you? Tell us about yourself.

I am a public school teacher in Weehawken, New Jersey with a M.A. in American History. I also serve as a Commissioner on the New Jersey Amistad Commission.

Please list below 3 key messages of your campaign. What are the main points you want voters to remember about your goals for your time in office?

• A thorough and efficient public education for all.
• Post high school education should be free.
• Dreamers must become citizens.

What areas of public policy are you personally passionate about?

Integrity has to be the foundation for anyone engaged in serving the public. Public policy that is based on serving the needs of the populace will be the focus of Ane’s support. Areas of support include but are not limited to: green initiatives, strengthening and proper maintenance of our infrastructure, properly funded public education, free post high school education and making mass transportation more convenient and readily available for all.

Who do you look up to? Whose example would you like to follow, and why?

I look up to African American soldiers who served this country prior to the integration of the military.

What legacy would you like to leave?

Someone who helped make America a better nation.

What is the first historical event that happened in your lifetime that you remember? How old were you at the time?

The first historical event was the Iranian Hostage crises. I was thirteen/fourteen at the time.

What was your very first job? How long did you have it?

My first job was babysitting a neighbor’s son.
