I'm Angel Fierro, a Republican candidate for the 29th congressional district.

For over two decades, I have called this district my home. It's where my family taught me the values of hard work, respect for neighbors, and the importance of serving with a grateful heart. As a proud Texan born in this great nation, I carry the lessons of my big traditional family with me, ready to serve as your voice in congress. I am currently a grad student pursuing my Master's in Punoic Policy ane Public Administration with The Helms School of Government in Liberty University. My conservative principles align with the core values that make Texas exceptional – limited government, individual freedom, religious freedom, a strong commitment to family. I have a decade of experience supporting local, state, federal representatives and candidates. I've served our community through various ministries and nonprofits: Fierro Ministry, AHF & CT Church, Lakewood, CMC, HAN, Nahpa, Philos Action, Cufi on Campus. I have always volunteered with a heart of joy. I have advocated against Human Trafficking, for online child safety legislation and prolife initiatives. Legislation and laws that I am proud to have supported and advocated for that are now impacting our state: The Heart beat bill, Save the Girls sports and The Chaplains Bill.

I am now running for Congress, and I plan to earn the votes of our hardworking folks in CD 29.
  • Border Security:

I believe it is essential our government secures our borders. By ensuring our border is securend this will stop illegal immigration. Illegal immigration funds human and child sex trafficking. By securing our border we will prevent further invasion of men and women who are associated with different terrorist organizations in the world, such as Hezbollah, Hamas and more.

Its also essential we adjust the asylum claim process. And give immigration law judges summary judgment and contempt authority.
  • Promote American Energy: Ease government energy efficiency mandates, prioritize consumer preferences. Facilitate the adoption of alternative sources like nuclear energy by updating outdated regulations. Current nuclear safety is commendable. We have abundant natural resources that make limiting energy access unnecessary and hurts Americans. I support expanding American Energy. The U.S. has an abundance of natural resources and is the world’s number one producer of petroleum and natural gas. Texas is largest exporter of natural gas in America and we rank 3rd in the entire world. I want to help expand American Energy, this will help many Americans gain access to affordable and sustainable energy.
  • Right to Life: I defend Life from beginning to the end, I do not support elective abortions. I do not support PAS, Physicians Assisted Suicide. I believe we have done women a disservice by labeling Miscarriage Management as Abortions. This language is dangerous to a woman. It's a priority to eliminate taxpayer funding for abortions. We should continue to redirect funding toward Life centers in our nation, Life is valuable and deserves our respect and defense. I believe Congress should provide faith-based foster care and adoption agencies with a permanent solution to ensure that they can continue to serve their communities. I oppose any federal bill that makes sexual orientation and gender identity (SOGI) protected classes.
I passionate for the right to life, the fight against Human & child sex trafficking, American Energy policy, and our national border security.
To understand my political philosophy, I would say the one book I give credit to that has been a great advantage to the strengthening of my mind and worldview is the Bible.

It has provided clarity on principles and championing justice, building humility, creating compassion, and the importance of a moral governance.
The bible has been clear about the roles of Christians as salt and light, and as a young woman called into Leadership I admire the language and history shared on the pages of the Bible. Remarkable men and strong clever women who created and found solutions to many real world issues. Issues that are not very different to what our country faces.

I believe the Bible has been a great guide, and it will continue to be a strong member of my daily library.
I believe transparency, accountability, integrity, empathy, and a commitment to represent the needs and opinions of their constituents are crucial for an elected official.

An elected official will not always have the answer to problems, but they must be honest they are in the pursuit of such solution that can achieve success. I believe by recruiting a diverse office willing to work and serve alongside each other provides a Representative transparency to issues that arise in the district and creates doors of opportunities for Representatives to remain accountable to the highest benefit of their district.

The desire to understand, the ability to serve creates a Representative that is in arms reach of a Constituent. I believe a Representative that is committed is also a hardworking. I believe the qualities of a Representative stem from experience and proven examples. That before they stepped into any elected role, they were serving in the community. Before they entered any paid role, I believe a characteristic they should have is both endurance and adaptability. Being creative to create solutions is a skill, it's the adaptability a Representative needs when they are a lawmaker in Congress.
I believe a Representative has a duty ensuring they are capable of reaching out to the public, ensuring their Outreach Constituents Service becomes both consistent and exceptional. Their responsibilities include both being a voice and lawmaker in DC but as well as an exceptional member of our community. I believe maintaining an office of diverse thought will help the congressional office focus on constituents grievances with the federal government over popular politics. As a Representative, I plan to balance my office by recruiting members of my community who care about the district and are willing to serve alongside me. As a Representative, I want to implement rules in my office for creating an internship program that helps recruit and connect young people encouraging them to pursue different fields of work with transferable skills.

I believe that a Representative should take the opportunity to recieve and answer constituent calls when they are available, I believe it grounds a Representative to remember who they serve and are called to protect.

I believe a Representative should carry a desire to help, and to be loyal to the people they represent. To step out of one's desires and focus on the sentiments that come through to their office via call, appointments or email/letter. I believe a Representative should be aware of the trends of the community, making it their goal to recruit a district team that is capable of keeping a open door policy with the Representative. I believe a Representative should be direct and open to criticism, their responsibility is to hear their communities. They should make efforts to visit different social programs and non profits, to learn and gain new ideas on how they can create pathways to better solutions. I believe a Representative has the responsibility to be creative and innovative in law creation.
As a Christian, I aim to leave a legacy by embodying biblical and conservative principles. I want to leave a legacy that helped protect the freedoms and rights of Americans now and in the future.
The U.S. House of Representatives had a proportional representation based on population, and shorter terms (2 years) for members compared to the Senate side. These characteristics provide a more direct connection to the people, enable responsiveness to changing public sentiment, and contributing to the system of checks and balances within the U.S. government. I do believe a way we could also enhance the qualities of the U.S. House of Representatives is by introducing term limits.
I believe that Representatives who have experience in goverment or politics helps them step into the responsibilities of their role.

My experience as a constituent services representative has given me the opportunity to learn the responsibilities of a U.S. Congress representative has for their district. The role is essential to the district and I believe its a role many should experience. It introduced me to the grievances folks experience and showed me how to navigate the federal groups and advocate on their behalf.

My experience in those areas has provided me the ability to realize the importance of a diverse office and how efficient a Congress Representative can be by maintaining consistent communication in both the district and in the DC offices. By having those experience, stepping into the role as a Representative I am capable of lifting a recruiting a team in the district and in DC capable of efficiently serving the community and helping me be more than capable but be a blessing in my district as a elected public servant.
Yes, 2 years has more advantages than drawbacks. It creates a need for effective and efficient leaders to step in, it provides frequent elections allowing constituents to share their approval of a representative or their disapproval removes them.

This forces representatives to be accountable and focus on their responsibility.
The 2 year term length involves a balance between maintaining accountability and providing representatives with sufficient time to enact meaningful legislative changes.

As a young woman, I plan to be devoted to my role as a Representative and focus on my responsibilities. I believe in maintaining an efficient offices in both the district and in DC, I plan to strengthen constituents services. I believe 2 years are the right term length for representatives, especially when majority of folks hired in the workforce have 90 days and less to prove they are right for the role they are hired in. I plan to invest my time wisely and continue to work hard and connect with my district.
I believe in Term Limits, I believe the next generation are our reinforcements and our current leaders have neglected their responsibilities in passing down the torch. We have seen leaders treat the youth as their replacement, so as they are threatened by their presence. They fight against the change we need as a nation to grow.
I have learned this important lesson in church, watching how leaders invest in the young adults, youth and kids. Teaching them skills and helping natural talents grow. Creating a innovtive and creative stable foundation for the next generation to step into. I believe and defend term limits.
My education and political philosophy has been influenced heavily by the bible, but also by examples of leadership from other statesmen and stateswomen who focused on serving their communities.

I admire Sarah Hukabee Sanders, Governor of Arkansas, who as the first female governor in her state fought against an anti woman agenda. She signed an executive order to eliminate the usage of "woke, anti-woman words" from official state documents: "birth-giver", "pregnant people" and "chestfeeding". She set a standard of leadership by acting on her promises when she stepped into her role as Governor.

I admire the legacy TX State Senator Eddie Lucio created by advocating and fighting for pro life legislation.

I admire Michele Bachman who was the first Republican woman elected to the U.S. House of Representatives from Minnesota. Her values and faith launched her forward to champion for the sanctity of Life in America.

I admire Clare Luce who as a congresswoman fought for advancements made in the fields of science, mathematics and engineering.
I believe compromise is necessary in the policy making and creation process.
Lawmakers have to work together, they cannot achieve anything by fighting the wrong way. Fighting the right way means listening to constituents on issues, following through to find a bring forth solutions and working hard to ensure that the government does not oppress the people.
If elected, my priority focus is on fiscal responsibility, understanding economic implications, and ensuring that financial decisions align with the needs and values of my constituents.
It would also mean actively participating and helping in crafting and shaping budgetary policies to address economic challenges and promoting the well-being of our community but maintaining a standard of conservative fiscal responsibility.
The U.S. House should investigate what matter to the public and what possible dangers there are, like potential abuses of power, but they need to do it fairly, without favoring one side. It's about finding the truth, keeping everyone in check, and making sure laws work for everyone. The main goals of U.S. House is to ensure the rights and freedoms of Americans are ot oppressed or stripped away.

Financial transparency and government accountability are essential for having a functioning and trustworthy republic. Open and transparent financial practices help build public trust, ensure the government practices responsible use of taxpayer money, and holds officials accountable for their actions.
By being clear and open about how money is earned, spent, and managed promotes integrity, reduces corruption, and fosters a more informed and engaged citizenry.
