- Reform the NYS Criminal Justice System
- Enact reporting accountability with the expansion of CrimeSTAT
- End profiling and bring equality and safety to the streets
Providing a great education for every child
- Universal Pre-K expansion
- Rigorous curriculum with purpose
- Attracting and keeping qualified educators
The Environment and Waterfront
- Strengthen the NYS Office of Environmental Conservation, and change the framework to a proactive more sustainable approach
- Encourage the State to invest in a Fund which provides sustainable Green Space to low-income communities
- Work to mandate green measure benchmarks for all public and private developments; including a mandate for Environmental Impact Reports be completed every five (5) years.
A Healthy Place to Live and Work
- Increase non-predatory bank lending to encourage first time home ownership; which dovetails with technical assistance to help New Yorker’s understand and manage homeowner costs.
- Use my plan for a healthier environment to allow New Yorkers to live where they work with out fear of asthma rates, and access to fundamental elements of community.
- Create a State-wide Waterfront Taskforce to explore, and develop a funded plan to protect New York’s waterfront in the face of mounting climate changes.
Equality and Civil Liberties
- Introduce legislation which mandates all New Yorkers to vote in General Elections
- End the inequality that exists in business; by encouraging increased educational opportunities for women, and minorities subsidized by the State and coupled with an Executive Mentor Program
- Introduce legislation which protects members of the LGBT community from discrimination by religious institutions

Elections for the New York State Assembly took place in 2014. A primary election took place on September 9, 2014. The general election took place on November 4, 2014. The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was July 10, 2014. Incumbent Carmen Arroyo was unopposed in the Democratic primary, while Angel Molina was unopposed in the Republican primary. Franklin Chidi Oleh ran on the Conservative Party ticket. Arroyo defeated Molina and Oleh in the general election.[2][3][4]
