Campaign website
Montalvo's campaign website stated the following:
“ |
PEOPLE FIRST, NOT CORPORATIONS. This moment calls for a willingness to speak truth to power, unprecedented engagement with the community, and a new vision for equity. Medicare for All, Housing for All, and the Green New Deal will give people the autonomy and security that they not only deserve, but need to thrive. Together we can create a system that reflects the interests and issues of the people. We deserve representation on behalf of the community.
GREEN NEW DEAL Miami is drowning and we're running out of time. A Green New Deal will decarbonize US economy whilst guaranteeing economic security for all. IMMIGRATION REFORM A family-based immigration system grounded in civil and human rights. We must stand up for our values and accept refugees, asylum-seekers, and families. No more family separation. MEDICARE FOR ALL Healthcare is a human right. Medicare For All will ensure that people won't have to stress over excessive medical bills or paying rent on time. COVID-19 RELIEF The pandemic has made clear the reality of inequity in America. We're facing the worst crisis in modern history and therefore demand the boldest piece of legislation ever written in modern history. HOUSING FOR ALL Housing for all will create millions of well-paying jobs, tackle the climate crisis, and give Floridians the dignity they deserve. RACIAL JUSTICE We must protect our democracy. We must address and transform a broken criminal justice system. We are going to make voting easier, not harder.[1] |
