I was taught hard work at a young age. I had my first full time job at 12 years old working in my families business. I began volunteering cleaning up the lakes and streams whenever I had free time and then worked with children with developmental disabilities. I then joined the Army when I was 19 years old and served in the Army Reserves as a military police officer for 8 years. I am now a member of the American Legion. I served on the board at the Arc Jacksonville for 5 years and did outreach at a mental health resource center providing free legal advice to the homeless for 5 years in Jacksonville, FL. I have provided countless hours of free legal services to victims of domestic violence and the elderly. When I first moved to Indiana I was an Administrative Law Judge with the State of Indiana where I presided on over 4000 cases in just over 2 years. I decided that I was not done litigating and opened up my law office but I was also not done volunteering my legal services. I volunteer with legal aid and the Indiana Coalition Against Domestic Violence and provide free legal services to victims of domestic violence. I am a Girl Scout leader, a Lion, Lion board member for the Indiana School for the Blind and Visually Impaired and a past board member of GiGi's Playhouse. I am dedicated to serving the community and making a positive impact. I want to be a Judge so I can continue to help and make a difference.
  • As Judge, my responsibility will be simple: follow the law and apply it fairly. I will not substitute my personal opinions for the law. As a former Military Police officer - and the only Veteran running in this race - I bring a deep commitment to duty, integrity, and service. Every case will be approached impartially, with respect for due process, and decided based on the facts and the law. I will run the courtroom fairly, consistently, and efficiently while ensuring that each case receives the careful attention it deserves.
  • As Judge, I will listen carefully to the parties, apply the law to the facts, and recognize that every decision made in the courtroom has a real impact on the people before the Court. I will approach that responsibility with patience, punctuality, firmness, understanding, compassion, and humility. I understand that cases presented to the Court are often tense, emotional, and stressful for those involved. My goal will be to ensure that every person who appears in my courtroom is heard and treated with courtesy and respect. If elected, I recognize that serving as a Judge is a position of public trust. Judges must be accountable for their decisions and conduct. I will hold myself to the highest standards of professionalism.
  • Judges must make serious decisions that affect people’s lives, families, and futures. Those decisions can have lasting consequences for individuals and for the community as a whole. A judge must carefully listen to the parties, review the evidence, and thoughtfully apply the law to the facts of each case. These decisions cannot be rushed or influenced by personal opinion or outside pressure. Serving as a judge is a position of great public trust. It requires patience, integrity, and the ability to remain impartial while making difficult decisions. As Judge, I will ensure that every person who comes before the Court has the opportunity to be heard, and that every decision is made according to the law.
The role of a judge is not to create policy, but to apply the law as it is written. My focus is on ensuring that every person who comes before the Court is treated fairly, that their case is heard, and that decisions are made based on the facts and the law.
