- I believe everyone should be treated with fairness. "If you want good for yourself and your family, so does everyone else." I also believe that we have been getting the short end of everything in District 1 because we have not had the representation at the City that is concerned about our needs as a whole. It's time to change!
- Infrastructure Improvement, Economic Development, Community Safety, Education, Small Business Initiatives and Workforce Development are critical areas for improvement for District 1. After meeting and speaking with residents of District 1, it is important for me to be intentional with building in these areas to include ensuring adequate funding is allocated for District 1.

As a single mother of four daughters, I faced numerous challenges. However, meeting new people and listening to their stories of hardship made me realize that I may not have any complaints about my struggles but rather have much more to be grateful for.
Overall, it is important for a wider audience to understand the roles and responsibilities of local government, as well as how the decisions made by elected officials affect the daily lives of their constituents. By fostering a deeper comprehension of these civic mechanisms, citizens can become more engaged and proactive in their communities. Education on local government can empower individuals to participate in public meetings, vote in local elections, and even run for office themselves.
I don't think experience in this role should be mandatory for this position. I do believe that anyone with a passion to serve, the ability to learn and understand, and a willingness to be transparent while having the best interests of the people at heart can excel.
Understanding the basics of government, being able to comprehend, research, gather relevant information, logic, and ask important questions are essential skills. Additionally, possessing the ability to read and write is crucial.

"The People." The ironic thing about my district is, it's very unique. Many people support my campaign but there is a large number who are concerned with retaliation, therefore, they will show up to the polls with a vote for Chambers. The vote is what counts!
Financial transparency and government accountability are directly linked. Without transparency, there can be no accountability. When governments operate in the shadows, it becomes difficult for citizens to trust their actions and decisions. Transparency allows for public scrutiny, enabling citizens to see how their money is being spent and to hold officials responsible for misuse or inefficiency. This, in turn, fosters a culture of honesty and integrity within public institutions.
Transparency builds trust between the government and its people. When citizens are informed and can access relevant information, they are more likely to feel engaged and participate in democratic processes. This engagement is crucial for the health of any democracy, as it ensures that the government remains responsive to the needs and concerns of its populace.
In addition to fostering trust and participation, financial transparency can also lead to better policy-making. When data is open and accessible, it allows for more informed decision-making by both government officials and the public. It enables experts to analyze spending patterns and outcomes, providing insights that can improve the efficiency and effectiveness of public programs.
Ultimately, the benefits of financial transparency extend far beyond accountability. It is a cornerstone of good governance, contributing to a more equitable, just, and prosperous society. By prioritizing transparency, governments can build stronger relationships with their citizens and create a more resilient and responsive political system.
