Biography
Cockerham earned her B.A. from Jackson State University and J.D. from Loyola University - New Orleans. Her professional experience includes working as an attorney.[2]

Elections for the Mississippi House of Representatives took place in 2015. A primary election was held on August 4, 2015. The general election took place on November 3, 2015. The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was February 27, 2015.[3] Incumbent Angela Cockerham was unopposed in the Democratic primary. No Republican candidates filed for election. Cockerham ran unchallenged in the District 96 general election.

On November 8, 2011, Cockerham won re-election to District 96 of the Mississippi House of Representatives. She ran unopposed in the August 2 primary and was unchallenged in the November 8 general election.[4]
