Angela Colmenero is the former Acting Attorney General of Texas. Colmenero served as the acting attorney general during the impeachment proceedings of Ken Paxton (R).

Gov. Greg Abbott (R) appointed Colmenero to replace former Acting Attorney General John Scott (R).[1]

Biography

Angela Colmenero earned a B.A. in government from the University of Texas at Austin in 2001 and a J.D. from the University of Notre Dame in 2004. Colmenero's career experience includes working as the principal deputy general counsel with the Office of Texas Governor Greg Abbott, the chief of the General Litigation Division of the Texas Office of the Attorney General, and a litigation associate with Lynn Tillotson Pinker & Cox, LLP.[2]
