Hollowell won without opposition in 2016. Brian Anderson defeated Susan Stopford in the District 5 Republican primary. Anderson won the District 5 general electeion against Democratic candidate Ching Ching Yap. Angela Kelly Stowman (D) withdrew from the District 3 race prior to the general election.[1]
