I will fight for YOU. I will fight for our community. I will fight for our district. Unfortunately, our current senator has put himself in a position where he can not effectively do that at a state level. It is absolutely necessary to be able to work with fellow legislators to fight to protect, represent, and act for our district.
I will bring our tax dollars back home. Whether you agree or disagree with being taxed, unfortunately we are. Right now, our tax dollars are being sent all over the state of Georgia because our current senator is not working to get that money back here. I will do whatever I can to make sure YOUR money gets back to OUR district.
I will work tirelessly to mend the bridges between our state government, our community leaders, and the people in our district. Unfortunately, many of those bridges have been burned or forgotten by our current senator. To effectively be able to legislate, it is imparative that those bridges are mended and intact so we can move forward.
I look up to the people in my community. The people here show me every single day what it means to be hard working, dedicated, a compassionate neighbor, resiliant, and a passionate voice.
The core responsibilities for a State Senator are to be able to effectively represent and legislate on behalf of their district. They also have a responsibility to work with other legislators to pass legislation that will make our state better.
The government absolutely MUST be financially transparent and held accountable.

I am a mom, miltary wife and small business owner. I was born and raised in Chickamauga, Georgia. After a few years of traveling, I returned back to Chickamauga to raise my own family. I am very passionate about serving my community. I love my home, my community and the communities that surround me. When I am not working at my small herbal business, I am actively engaged in local politics, youth athletics, and our Chamber of Commerce. In my eyes, giving back to my community not only helps sustain me and my family, but future generations to come.
I will fight for YOU. For my community. For my district. Our current senator is not fighting for our tax dollars to be brought back to our district. Instead, it is being spent all over the state of Georgia. Whether we agree with being taxed or not, the fact remains we are. Until that ends, we deserve to have our money brought back here to fund things that support OUR home.
Mend relationships to be able to effectively bring action back to our district. Unfortunately, relationships all across the district have been hurt by our current senator which has made it difficult for us to be truly represented in our Senate. I am very active in my district and I am passionate about rebuilding those relationships so that I can legislate effectively.
Focus on the needs and important issues for my district. I will work with the entire community to craft legislation to support them and make sure their voices are heard.
I look up to the people in my community. They show me every single day what it is like to be a hard worker, an effective community leader, a compassoniate neighbor, and a passionate voice for what I believe in.
The job of a State Senator it to represent and legislate on behalf of the people of their district. Their job is also to work with other legislators to pass legislation for the betterment of our entire state.
Absolutely. You have to have relationships with your fellow legislators to be able to work together to pass legislation. If you do not have those relationships, you are completely ineffective.
I absolutely believe and support financial transparency and government accountability.

2022
Angela Pence completed Ballotpedia's Candidate Connection survey in 2021. The survey questions appear in bold and are followed by Pence's responses. Candidates are asked three required questions for this survey, but they may answer additional optional questions as well.
Hey! My name is Angela. I was born and raised in Northwest Georgia. My family is from the area. My mom was born in Rome and my dad was born in Rossville. Our roots here run deep. That being said, I am a mother of eight. A military spouse. Business owner. Passionate advocate of individual freedom. Being raised in one of the “most red” parts of the country, I grew up more conservative. However, after realizing that both major parties really weren’t about individual freedom, I found my home in the Libertarian Party where I have been since. I am very passionate about medical freedom, education choice, small businesses, criminal justice reform and constitutional rights. I have several goals during this election cycle. First and foremost, I want to be a voice in contrast to our current representative. Also, I hope to show the young people in our district that they absolutely have a very powerful voice. I want to show them that you don’t have to be part of the establishment to stand up and run for office. We have to start working to take our government back and they can do it!
I will never back down from a fight for freedom. Our freedom is precious and we absolutely must fight to protect it. If people remember nothing else, I want them to remember that I ALWAYS spoke up in favor of individual freedom.
I will always be transparent in what is going on. If elected, I absolutely will hold congress accountable by continuously communicating with my district and the nation about what is going on in congress.
I will ALWAYS represent my district with honor and respect. I want my district to be able to easily connect with me to voice their concerns and work towards solutions. We will WORK TOGETHER to change Washington.
Like I listed above, I am incredibly passionate about medical freedom, education choice, criminal justice reform, small businesses and constitutional rights. In general, I am pretty passionate about individual freedom. However, those listed are my "hot" topics. I think that the thing I am the most passionate about is medical freedom. I truly feel that if we give up our medical freedom, then the government will take away everything else. Last year was an unprecedented year in that the government took control over our health in a way that it never had before. Some will argue that it was necessary. To me, it feels more and more like they have been pushing the envelop to see what they can get away with. First it was mandatory lockdowns where we couldn't leave our houses. After that, we had mask mandates. If we did go out, we had to wear masks or in some cases face consequences. Once a vaccine was created, we were encouraged to receive it. Now, we are being told we have to or perhaps face segregation and consequences. This is not about the vaccine itself, it is about the control that they have in our lives. We must take a stand against these things otherwise, what will stop them from forcing their agenda on us further? Along with this, in general I feel we should have absolute control over what we do with our bodies. We should be able to choose everything from our own providers to our own form of healing without government intervention. We are the only ones that know our body.
The people I look up to the most are the people in my district. I have watched these amazing people fight through what may be one of the most difficult times in our lives and still keep trucking. During the shutdowns last year, I watched so many people step up to help those that found themselves suddenly laid off with no way to pay their bills or feed their family. I watched these communities come together to make sure that the small businesses could stay open by going and supporting them. I watched as these people orchestrated parades, drive by parties etc.. just to remind people they were special and thought of. I very specifically know of several people that stepped up in my home county to donate, work, and help those here both during the shutdowns and after through recovery. Our district is full of some of the most caring, compassionate, helpful people I have ever seen. This is why it hurts me so much that because of our current representative, we are viewed as anything but that. I am running because I look up to these amazing individuals in our district and want to show the rest of the nation THAT is who we are.
To me, the most important characteristic of an elected official is honesty. Just be honest. Be honest with yourself. Be honest with your co-workers. Be honest with the people you are representing. Honestly sometimes isn't the easiest road, but it is always the best road. I also feel that it is important that officials are transparent. Be transparent about what your goals are, what you are doing to achieve them, and how things are going. Be transparent about your actions. Elected officials must be hardworking. They also must be passionate about serving the community. Elected officials are elected to represent the people. That is their only job and they should do it wholeheartedly. Being in office is absolutely not meant to be self serving, although, most politicians are exactly that.
I believe the core responsibility for someone elected to this office is to effectively represent the wants and needs of their district. This is followed by the responsibility in general to hold their peers accountable. Being transparent and honest. Obviously, this isn't exactly the job, but it is what I view as most important.
I want my legacy to be as someone that represented my district in the best possible way. I want the people of my district to be proud of the job that I did and feel as those I gave them a voice in Washington that they previously did not have. I want to be known as the congresswoman that held herself and her peers accountable. I want to be known as someone that was transparent and served as a window into the government that otherwise wasn't there. More than anything though, I want to be remembered as someone that fought for our individual freedoms at every, single turn.
The first event I remember was Princess Diana's death. The first event that shaped me as a person that I remember though was September 11th, 2001. Even at 11 years old, I still remember that day like it was yesterday. I was sitting in my 5th grade math class when another teacher came running in the room. My teacher at the time ran out of the room and was gone for like 5 minutes. When she came back in, she was crying and turned on the TV. There was no question as to whether it was "too sensitive" for us to watch. She knew we needed to see what was happening. I remember watching the second plane fly into the tower. The towers falling. People running. It felt so real. I honestly can't imagine what it would have been like to have been there. I remember taking multiple moments of silence throughout the day and talking about what was happening. At 11, it was horrifying to see that kid of evil was real. I remember that night watching George W. Bush speak to the nation and for the first time in my life, I felt truly patriotic. Whether I agree with him now or not, hearing my president speak and say we would hold the people that did that accountable made me feel safe. Every year, I still take the time to remember what happened on that day. The lives lost. The bravery of the men and women that fought to get into those towers to save others. The wonderful men and women that continued to search for days on end to try and locate those that were missing. I also remember the legislation and war that came after though. The war that we are still fighting. The weapons of mass destruction we never found. The lives of our men and women fighting a war that we should arguably have never started but we most definitely should no longer be in. The mishandling of everything post 9/11 is what I remember most to be what started this very slippery slope to government overreach.
I have actually never done anything other than run my own business. I started working when I was 15 and have built myself up since. I have done so many different things in my life but I think my favorite has been running my apothecary.
Animal Farm by George Orwell. It planted the seed of standing up against a tyrannical government early on. I feel that it really shaped my views of the government in general.
No. I believe that it is actually more beneficial for them not to have a history in politics. We have WAY too many politicians and government cronies. We need more REAL people.
The economy for sure. The way that the government has handled the pandemic has put a massive strain on our economy. I honestly feel that over the next several years we are going to not only be seeing the consequences of that but also having to adjust in new ways to get ourselves back on a track. I say *a* track because I don't think that we need to go back to how we were. I feel that we need to build back better. We need to re-evaluate and re-structure. We cannot continue to just print money and let our debt skyrocket. We have to become more conservative in our spending. We have to allow businesses to truly compete. We have to remove red tape when it comes to cryptocurrency and small businesses. These are just a few things that we need to be considering as we come out of this.
Honestly, I will serve wherever I would be asked to serve. I am always willing to learn, grow and expand. If I had to pick though, I would love to be on Veterans' Affairs or Small Business.
We should absolutely have them. First, who in the world would want this job forever? Second, people that do probably don't have your best interest in mind. There is ABSOLUTELY no reason that someone should be hanging out in congress for 30+ years. Get in there, represent your people effectively, make good changes and move along so someone else can come in with new ideas and energy.
One of the stories that was shared with me not long ago was very short but very powerful. I was talking about my stance on medical freedom and this gentleman said that people didn't realize how bad a socialist government was. He had fled from one to the United States. He then went on to mention how scary it was that our government was acting the way that it was. He said it made him so sad to see. All I could think to say to this guy was that I was so sorry. I was so sorry that he came to the United States looking for better and was starting to feel like we had failed him because our government is slowly taking away our freedoms. I vowed that even if I was the ONLY one, I would always fight for a smaller government and individual freedom.
Compromise is always necessary. What is not necessary is selling your soul for profit or corrupting your moral compass. I will always work to find compromises, but in a way that does not impede on what I believe to be right in my heart.
