Angeles Roca
Angeles Roca was a judge on the Philadelphia County Court of Common Pleas in Pennsylvania.[1] She was appointed to the court in 2008 by former Governor Ed Rendell. Roca was removed from the bench in December 2016 by the Pennsylvania Court of Judicial Discipline for using her position to benefit her son in a tax case.
Biography
Roca received her undergraduate degree from Temple University and her J.D. from Villanova University.[2] Below is a summary of Roca's professional experience:

Noteworthy events
Roca was suspended in January 2016 over charges that she worked with Philadelphia Municipal Court Judges Dawn Segal and Joseph Waters to secure favorable treatment for her son in a tax case.[4]
Roca apologized to a three-judge panel of the Pennsylvania Court of Judicial Discipline on September 8, 2016, saying, "I am extremely sorry for my conduct and my behavior." "It's something that I shouldn't have done," she continued, "It's not the person that I am. It's not the person that I want to be."[4][5]
In October 2016, the Pennsylvania Court of Judicial Discipline found Roca guilty of an ethics violation. The court held a hearing on November 21, 2016, to decide her punishment.[6] On December 16, 2016, the court of judicial discipline ruled that Roca be removed from the bench.[7]
